Gli uomini americani con un'infanzia segnata dalla povertà, una volta adulti, è molto più probabile che restino marginalizzati sul mercato del lavoro rispetto alle donne cresciute nelle medesime circostanze. Potrebbe sembrare paradossale, considerando che le donne anche negli Stati Uniti rimangono vittima di discriminazioni nelle assunzioni e nei compensi, ma questo<strong> “gender gap” alla rovescia</strong> è stato dimostrato da una ricerca condotta da un gruppo di ricercatori delle università di <a href="http://siepr.stanford.edu/news/gender-gap-reversal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Harvard e Stanford</a> per conto del National Bureau of Economic Research.
